Haul June 2015 - MAC, Clinique, Urban Decay, L'Oreal, Make Up Store, Kicks

00:47

I haven't bought any makeup the last month and a half, which for someone like me is not the easiest thing to do and I could honestly manage not to for a while longer if I haven't stumbled upon Kick's annual sale.
For those of you who are unaware - basically Kicks is a popular chain here in Sweden and they offer popular drugstore brands as well as a lot of the high-end ones. Once per year, usually at the end of June, all the items in their online shop are discounted. The promotion lasts for a couple of months and can be combined with other discounts or vouchers, if you have such.

Usually I tend to stock up on some of my favourite MAC products, but this time around I decided to be brave and explore a few other brands which I am not that familiar with.

I didn't go overboard but I managed to treat myself nevertheless and I must say I feel very happy with my choices.

My order arrived the other day and I have not had the opportunity to use any of the items yet but I will make sure to share my experience with them in another post.
I also decided to include a couple of other things which I picked up recently - not as a part of the promotion I was telling you about.

I already have a review of the new Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit by Barry M and if you are curious to see more pictures as well as what I thought about it, I can recommend checking it out.
I ordered mine from www.asos.com and the shipping was pretty fast.
I have been using it regularly ever since I got it and as a whole my impressions so far confirm what I've shared in the review post. I dislike the highlighter, it is something I will not be using, mostly because it doesn't show up on my face like I want it to. The other two powders are very nice, finely milled and blendable. I think they look great on the skin and their lasting powder is not bad either. I can recommend the palette, especially considering its affordable price tag.

I mentioned at the beginning that I usually tend to go for MAC products when I make my order every summer, but somehow this time I could not find not even one product that I just had to have.
I have been lusting over their Soft and Gentle highlighter, from the Mineralize Skinfinish line, for the past several years and finally decided to make it mine.
It is definitely a lot more glittery than I imagined it to be, but pretty nonetheless. I also realized that all of the highlighters I own are in this gold-bronze range and maybe next time I will try to experiment with something different.

I am a blush lover and my collection is way too large for one person to have, but that didn't stop me from picking up one of the new Afterglow blushes from Urban Decay
The brand promises intense pigmentation and a 8 hour wear time, the line  itself contains 12 different shades which are definitely not boring and if I dare to say quite different from what other brands usually offer - shade wise.
I fell in love with the colour Rapture which is absolutely gorgeous - nude, brown, purple combination which I happen not to have another of. As I said earlier I have not tested it yet but as soon as I do, I will make sure to post pictures and more information about it.

I have been reading about the new Clinique Pop Lipsticks + Primer, pretty much everywhere and I had to get one for myself. I don't feel guilty about buying new lip products, those are the ones I use the most and I love to have a variety.
When it comes to expensive lip products, I have learned my lesson and I forbade myself to go for crazy, unwearable shades that I will toss aside after a couple of uses. I chose a nude shade, suitable for everyday wear which is called Beige Pop. It is a pinky-beige nude colour and looks like something I would enjoy a lot.
The packaging is super adorable and I had to almost restrain myself from picking up another one just based on that.

L'Oreal has released a new line of lip glosses called Infallible Le Gloss, they come in a ton of shades, with a few different finishes. I picked up two, one of which I managed to loose already and I am disappointed since it was absolutely amazing.
The other one which I have to show you today contains gold shimmer and it is called 206 - For The Ladies. It has a thick and goopy formula and it is just not something that special or worth picking up.

I really enjoy H&M's polishes - they are cheap, have a variety of trendy colours and a decent formula. This time around I fell in love with a shade called - Check Me Out. I have been wearing it constantly and I love how bright and happy it is. I feel amazing wearing it and everyone around me seems to notice my nails. Highly recommend if you are into pinky corals.

A friend of mine, who knows how much I adore Make Up Store nail polishes, was kind enough to gift me this gorgeous light peach called Stina. I am excited to add another one to my collection and I am always impressed with how long they last on my nails.

The last product I am going to show you today is something I bought out of necessity, which doesn't happen often.
I have been using micellar waters for the past several years and while I like them a lot, I also like experimenting with different formulas and brands. Lately I have been hearing a lot about different cleansing oils and I am totally fascinated by the concept of them. I didn't want to spend a lot of money only to try one and when I saw Kicks offering their version of it, I picked it up immediately.
I love how it makes my skin feel, it is soft to the touch, feels fresh and very comfortable. I am not convinced how good it removes makeup yet but I will be testing it more to see exactly how it works.

That was my little haul for this month. I am very happy with my choices and I hope once I try all of the new products, I will still be satisfied with my purchases. Look out for reviews and other posts that include some of the products shown today.
