Glossybox Sweden - October 2015

17:08

My latest Glossybox arrived a couple of weeks ago and it took me some time to present it to you, since I can't say I was particularly impressed with it. Some of the products included were rather interesting and not something one would expect to receive in a beauty box. Nevertheless at least I am not hating it and having in mind the last several boxes were absolutely awesome, it was about time to receive something a little more average.

The theme they chose this month is Ray of Beauty and is inspired by the last and very precious rays of sunshine for this year. The box is in its standard pink format, nothing exciting but very practical and appreciated.
They have included the newest issue of the Glossy Mag, which I tend to read from time to time and I find somewhat interesting.

1. Talika - Photo-Hydra Day. 359kr/30ml
2. Elizabeth Mott - All Day Color Lip Lacquer. 219kr/5ml
3. Emite Makeup - Diamond Heart Base Primer. 340kr/50ml
4. DAX - Alcogel Sweet Raspberry. 38kr/50ml
5. NOA Relaxation - Relaxationdrink. 35kr/3,14dl

The star of the box this month is a face cream but the French brand Talika. It is advertised as something very different on the market, with a technology behind it inspired by phototherapy.

"Talika Photo Hydra Day Cream is a deeply hydrating moisturiser which smooths and re-plumps the skin. Much more than just a regular moisturiser, Photo Hydra Day Cream uses the energy from natural light through Talika’s Hydra Photo Beauty® to deeply moisturise and hydrate the skin. Lipopeptides soothe the skin whilst Hyaluronic Acid creates an effective water reservoir within the skin cells and plumps the skin for a rejuvenating and youthful effect. Photo Hydra Day Cream is also enriched with Mango Butter which nourishes the skin and prevents dehydration. Suitable for all skin types, Photo Hydra Day Cream leaves the skin looking smooth and youthful with wrinkles and fine lines diminished for a dazzlingly beautiful complexion."

The brand is very new to me, I am not sure how popular or how effective their products are, but sounds promising at least and I am always up for testing new skincare items, especially those who promise to change my skin for the better.

Elizabeth Mott is a brand I really enjoy and every single of their products (all thanks to Glossybox) was nothing short by amazing. Their mascara and pencil eyeliner are to this day one of the best I have tried. Having said that as excited I am to try their lip-stain, red is not my colour and I know I am never going to be able to wear it outside of the house.
Their line All Day Color promises long-lasting effect, pigmented colours and a non-drying formula.

Emite is another "Glossybox" brand that I have been enjoying and their Diamond Heart Illuminating Base Primer looks pretty interesting. This is the product I am most excited to try, extra glow is what I am all about these days and any help to achieve healthy looking skin is highly appreciated.
Apparently it contains small golden coloured particles that reflect light, leaving the face immediately brightened. It sounds almost like it would be a glitter bomb, but I am trying not to be negative and give it a shot before forming opinion about it.

The last two products this month were a tea, which is supposed to improve a person's focus help them to relax and a raspberry scented disinfectant. I do enjoy certain sweet teas and hopefully this is one of them and an extra hand sanitiser is another cool thing to have, just not the most exciting item to be included in a beauty subscription box.

Hopefully next month's Glossybox will bring better surprises and more fun products to try. I am definitely looking forward to their Christmas themed box.
