Last month's Glossybox edition pleasantly surprised me with a wonderful Christmas theme of the box itself and products which I want to try and excite me.
I was out of the country for a few days and my box arrived just before I had to leave, which didn't give me enough time to check it out thoroughly and enjoy it. I rediscovered it when I came back and I can't wait to get to try everything.
I am not someone who buys single eyeshadows often, generally I do prefer palettes and reflecting on my collection I can certainly say that I own pretty much everything I like and need.
As a beauty lover though I cannot completely ignore this whole category of products and I do add something new to my stash here and there, whenever I find something unique or exceptional.
Such is the story of the eyeshadow I chose to show you today. Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow is a fairly new line on the market, it grabbed my attention with the promise of intense pigmentation and unseen before formula. They can also be used wet or dry, depending on the preference and desired look.
I have actually never had eyeshadows meant to be used wet, but the concept sounds intriguing and I had to see for myself how the texture changes and how the finish is.
NYX recently became available at my favourite online shop - www.feelunique.com and since I consider myself a fan of the brand, I just had to order a couple of new things to try.
The range of products is very broad, as well as the available shades and colours. The prices vary, I notice them being a little being higher when it comes to the face products, but as a whole I consider NYX to be rather affordable.
I honestly do not have that much of an experience with NYX, but most of what I have tried has not disappointed me. I own a couple of their jumbo pencils - one in gold and the oh so popular white one - I can't say that I use them that often, but they do a good job as a shadow base. My favourite contour powder is also theirs - the blush in Taupe, which by the way has been discontinued in its typical format, instead it can be found as a part of the HD range (also available at the website, but Taupe is not on the list). I have also tried their Butter Gloss in the shade Peaches and Cream, which I also enjoyed, as well as their concealer in a jar and eyeshadow primer in Pearl.
I am definitely excited to find out what more do they offer and I would make sure to share my impressions with all of you.
My latest Glossybox arrived a couple of weeks ago and it took me some time to present it to you, since I can't say I was particularly impressed with it. Some of the products included were rather interesting and not something one would expect to receive in a beauty box. Nevertheless at least I am not hating it and having in mind the last several boxes were absolutely awesome, it was about time to receive something a little more average.
The theme they chose this month is Ray of Beauty and is inspired by the last and very precious rays of sunshine for this year. The box is in its standard pink format, nothing exciting but very practical and appreciated.
They have included the newest issue of the Glossy Mag, which I tend to read from time to time and I find somewhat interesting.
